Life is good:

There’s no question that life has it’s ups and downs. But at the end of the day, I prefer to be a glass is half-full man. There are very few instances and things that get me truly depressed and I feel like that’s how you should live life. Like there is no tomorrow. You’re never guaranteed another day with the people you know and the people you love, so it’s best to make the most of it while you can. Carpe Diem. Seize the day. There’s no better words to live by. Because it is all about soaking in the moments of life while you can.

I’ve often wondered what makes a person dwell on things longer than another. For instance when I get dumped our out of a new relationship, I tend to be upset for a short while. Granted during this period I’m quite upset, but I try not to dwell on it. While others, can dwell on this phase for quite sometime. What is it about someone that allows them to get over it quicker? Who knows? I just feel as if life is short and it’s better to take things as they come. You have no control over what life throws at you so why bother pretending like you do? Take things as they come and adapt, and move on.

The worst thing I can think of is someone who dwells on the negative aspects of life. A lost job, a dysfunctional family, a shitty relationship, all of those things may or may not be under your control. But the way you adapt, and treat them is. You are the one who is in control of your happiness and shame on you to think otherwise. Make sure that each day you wake up with a gigantic smile on your face and a ear to ear grin every night when you go to bed. Life is short and far be it for me to tell you how to live your life, but I say live each day like it’s your last.

Money comes and money goes. Friends come in and out of your life as well as significant others. It takes a certain type of person to be able to accept all of that and keep rolling with the punches. I’m not telling you to take life as if you don’t care, rather to take it and just go with it. There are many things out of your control and it’s better to just say fuck it and go with it then to dwell on it and be negative. At the end of the day you have but one life to live, better to look back on it fondly, then to dwell on past mistakes.
